Kips Bay Endoscopy Center
New York, NY

This upscale ambulatory endoscopy center is located in a new residential building with the treatment facility on the second floor and the administrative offices and staff support in the basement. We created a functional space, incorporating the latest in technology while maintaining a patient-friendly environment.

After careful consideration of the space and examination of the client's Primary Care Practice, a design model was proposed that changed the traditional patient flow for endoscopy procedures. The proposed layout created a circular patient traffic pattern from check in through discharge. Ccollaboration between the architect and client facilitated the restructuring of the traditional practice by creating, testing, and implementing a brand new patient-flow model. The prescribed model yielded a 30% faster visit.

The design secured JCAHO AAAS accreditation and NYS Article 28 status. The interiors were designed using a warm neutral palette with blue accents to create a relaxed atmosphere for both staff and patients.
