The American Museum of Natural History
New York, NY

Since its founding in 1988, Jeffrey Berman Architect has been providing the American Museum of Natural History with architectual services. The firm has always sought to address the Museum's total needs including progamming, strategic planning, feasibility analysis, design work and construction phase services.

Projects have included new galleries, gallery renovations, reasearch and curatorial labs, departmental offices, archival grade collections storage, infrastructure analysis and upgrade, and the adaptive reuse of historic buildings. Operability, maintainability, and constructability with minimal disruption to continued operations have been a prime consideration in all work.

In gallery work, the Museum's has been respected while improving the public's experience and the artifact's environment. In lab work, technologically advanced work environments with a unique character have been provided. In collections work, maximum storage in minimum space has been provided within a rigidly controlled environment.
