Wadsworth Residence

New York, NY

Yearning for a larger space with room to entertain in the city, the clients decided to combine two separate apartments into one elegant and unique space in their post-war apartment building on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The two apartments, a studio and a two bedroom, were carefully redesigned to accommodate both the day-to-day living and entertaining needs of its residents.

Special features in the apartment include a large country kitchen, a dining buffet and lots of storage to allow for large-scale entertaining. A separate library was created to showcase the resident's varied collections. All casework in the apartment is custom.

The space is designed to flow from room to room and to allow for comfort when entertaining. It can also be sectioned off by sliding panels and doors to afford privacy for different needs.
